Mexican Beef Burger with Spicy Chipolte Mayo & Easy Guacamole
This upcoming weekend is the first long weekend of the summer season in Canada. It also marks the unofficial opening of summer to most. Summer means one thing, BBQ SEASON! This week I will be featuring my 3 all time favorite and somewhat healthy burger recipes. The first up is a Mexican inspired beef burger. With ingredients like cilantro, jalipano, red onion and garlic it is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Beef Burger
1 Pound Extra Lean Ground Beef
2 Tsp. Cumin
2 Tsp. Chili Powder
1 Tsp. Garlic, Minced
1 Tsp.
Handful cilantro, chopped
1/4 red onion, chopped
1-2 Jalapenos, chopped (depending how hot you like)
Salt and Pepper
Spicy Mayo
1/2 cup Mayo
1 Tsp. Garlic, miced
1 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 Tsp, Chipolte Sauce
Easy Guacamole
1 large avocado, smashed
1 Tbsp Lime Juice
Handful Cilantro, chopped
1/2 cup grape tomatoes, sliced in half
Directions:
Mix all burger ingredients together in a large bowl. Form into 4 patties and set aside.
Mix all mayo ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside
Mix all guacamole ingredients together in a bowl and set aside
Heat BBQ to medium heat and cook burgers 4-5 minutes per side till done throughout
Serve patties on buns topped with spicy mayo and topped with tomatoes, avocados and red onions.
