New Year, New Kitchen, New Eating Habits and a whole lot more Recipes

Happy 2016 you all!! I hope you guys had a wonderful evening last night filled with good food, good friends and lots of laughter, Oh and yummy cocktails ;). The new year is always a time of change; change in eating habits after the indulging holiday season, change in activity after all the hustle and bustle, change in mindset and in my case change in living habits (more on that later)
Let's face it we all piged out over the holiday season so this month The Art of Simplified Living will be taking a lighter approach to our cooking. We are going to be posting lighter Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner recipes throughout the week. We are going to make our breakfasts as simple, flavourful and healthy as possible. Our lunch we are going to present to you salad recipes that can be made at the beginning of the week and enjoyed till Friday. Lastly our dinners we will jam-pack with protein and lots of yummy veggies. We hope you enjoy this lighter approach because we need it after all those cookies :|
Now onto my change in living habits, My husband and I are renovating our main floor and kitchen!!!! This has been a dream of mine since we moved into our house 4 years ago so you can imagine how excited I'm that it is finally happening!! The photo to the right is our kitchen space down to the studs, the wall to the right will be taken down and a new 12" penninsula will stand right there which means one thing SO MUCH MORE SPACE FOR COOKING!! This also means one more thing, The Art of Simplified Living will be a little slower then usuail. We will be trying to post 2-3 times a week but please bare with us as we make our kitchen our DREAM kitchen.
