This week my sister and I visited my 90 year old Nonna in the hospital. She is one of the reasons I started this blog, on her 90th birthday we asked her what advice she would give a young woman, she said to slow down and enjoy life. That was an "AH-HA" moment. When I visited her in the hospital this week I said I would make her cookies for the next time I came, she requested Crescent cookies, so here they are!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened to room temperature

  • 1/4 cup icing sugar + additional for dusting

  • 2 Tsp. Vanilla

  • 1 1/3 cup flour

  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 & grease 2 cookie sheets

  2. Cream butter and icing sugar together till fluffy. Blend in Vanilla, Flour and Walnuts and mix till combined.

  3. Shape into small rolls 1/2" in diameter and about 1" in length, then shape into crescents and place onto cookie sheets.

  4. Bake about 15 minutes or till the edges are slightly brown.

  5. Let cool for 5 minutes then lightly dust in icing sugar.

Time: 45 Minutes

Yield: 20-24 cookies
