This week my sister and I visited my 90 year old Nonna in the hospital. She is one of the reasons I started this blog, on her 90th birthday we asked her what advice she would give a young woman, she said to slow down and enjoy life. That was an "AH-HA" moment. When I visited her in the hospital this week I said I would make her cookies for the next time I came, she requested Crescent cookies, so here they are!
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened to room temperature
1/4 cup icing sugar + additional for dusting
2 Tsp. Vanilla
1 1/3 cup flour
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 & grease 2 cookie sheets
Cream butter and icing sugar together till fluffy. Blend in Vanilla, Flour and Walnuts and mix till combined.
Shape into small rolls 1/2" in diameter and about 1" in length, then shape into crescents and place onto cookie sheets.
Bake about 15 minutes or till the edges are slightly brown.
Let cool for 5 minutes then lightly dust in icing sugar.
Time: 45 Minutes
Yield: 20-24 cookies
